Truss Frames
GALVANIZED STEEL FRAMES
Our heavy duty galvanized steel truss frames are constructed to be bolted
together, side to side or end to end, to form the desired configuration needed
for your dock design. These frames work well in a variety of applications
and we are happy to provide you with a CAD layout designed to meet your specific
needs. In any design proper frame layout is important due to a wide variety
of materials now available for decking. We must consider dock usage and loading,
and provide the proper flotation requirements.
The basic frame design
is built strong enough to support concrete decking and we also offer special
frames to support the new composite deck materials available such as Weyerhaeuser
ChoiceDek7 or TREX7 Easy Care Decking.
Typical hot-dip galvanized
12" box truss steel frames are welded trusses utilizing all angle iron construction.
Our frames are mig welded in a frame jig to ensure the precise tolerances
are kept. Minimum angle size at the bolted connections are 3" x 3" x 1/4",
with main rails not less than 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 3/16". Truss diagonals and
cross bracing are not less than 1" x 1" x 1/8" angle. Round rods are also
utilized as an option to angle in truss frame construction. All frames to
be hot-dip galvanized after fabrication.

TREADPLATE
ASSEMBLY
A treadplate assembly can be added to the shore end of any bridge for safer
and easier access to the dock.

BRIDGE FLOATER
For sites where two bridges are required for access to the lake. Available for
4' and 6' wide bridges.

A bridge floater can be added to any handrailed bridge where additional flotation
might be needed.

BRIDGES
We offer bridges to provide safe dependable access to our docks. The bridges
are constructed of all angle iron that is hot-dip galvanized after fabrication.
Optional galvanized handrail assemblies can be bolted onto the bridges. Bridges
are designed to hinge on the dock end, and the shore end has skid pipes and
can be fitted with an axle and wheel assembly as required.

ACCESSORIES
We have bridge components to customize bridges to suit individual site requirements.
Bridge floaters and bolt-on treadplate assemblies are available for use with
our bridges.
BOLT-ON
HANDRAILING
Bolt-on handrails measure 42" above decking. Freight savings is achieved by
bolting handrailing to bridge after delivery.

TO DOCK HINGE ASSEMBLY
Bridges can attach to the dock with a 3/4" diameter hinge pin through 1/4" angle
iron.

CONNECTION
Steel frames bolt together with 5/8" diameter hardware bolting through 1/4"
angle iron.
STANDARD
WHEEL ASSEMBLY
The standard wheel assembly consists of an 8" diameter wheel with a 3/4" axle.
All-terrain wheel assemblies are available.

BRIDGES
We offer bridges to provide safe dependable access to our docks. The bridges
are fabricated in 4' and 6' widths. Bridges are designed to hinge on the dock
end; the shore end has skid pipes and can be fitted with an axle and wheel assembly
as required.
STANDARD
BRIDGE END
Our standard bridge is set up with the shore end having skid pipes and a 7/8"
diameter hole for a 3/4" axle.
5TH
WHEEL CONNECTION
5th wheel connections are available in 4' and 6' widths.
