Lift Bag Safety: Safe use during liftbag operations requires advanced training and expertise. A liftbag should be inflated from an independent air source which is not attached in any way to the diver. As the force exerted by the liftbag pulls an object from the bottom, the liftbag can suddenly and or dangerously tangle lines and regulator hoses causing a fatal situation to evolve. A diver can also lose control of a liftbag during ascent. A runaway liftbag may rise out of the water and spill its air dropping the obtained object back to the bottom.
PLEASE USE CAREFUL PRECAUTIONS WHEN OPERATING UNDERWATER LIFT BAGS.
What is it used for? They are used by divers and for commercial applications for lifting or moving heavy underwater objects.
UNDERWATER LIFT BAGS
What is a Lift Bag? A lift bag is a durable, waterproof bag that is filled with air for buoyancy. They have handles and tie off points to make them easy to grasp and secure both in and out of the water. They can be folded and rolled into compact, negatively-buoyant rolls that are easy to handle and deploy underwater. They have over-pressure valves that are designed to adequately vent the air from a fully-charged bag on a free ascent from any depth.
